Barn stars have become the "token" primitive art to embellish your abode with. You see them on siding, doors, illustrations on cards and tapestries. I've found a way to make my own out of paper!! This instructions I used are HERE. For fun, I made my own instructions. It goes a little something like this:
You'll need a square of paper.
Then:
Once unfolded, you are going to have to shape it into the star. The big trick I find the most helpful it to make the "valley fold" between the star points folded inward . And, in line with each point is a "mountain fold"....just make sure that it stays pointed up.
Now, even as I write this I am considering dozing off (the truth is, I have already done it 3 times....and I wake up after a few seconds of silence and look at the screen and the post now says, "iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiijhbh" because of the weight of my hand. I need to go to bed earlier. Back to the star......I was thinking. I am too busy right now to do a fun project with this star....but I would love to see what you can come up with. If you make something with this tutorial, let me know!! I will feature the post I like the best next week!!

ReplyDeleteWell -- bless your heart for going ahead with this tutorial even though you are so tired! We could have waited, but glad we didn't have to! I think this tutorial is great. I have bookmarked it and I really do hope that I make it. Listen to me -- talking about myself like I'm another person, honestly I'm just not sure which direction I will go from day to day. Thank you for sharing your project on the boardwalk Bragfest. I've always wondered about these beautiful stars!
