Don't forget to join my new linky party on Monday, the 21st!! It's called A Marvelous Mess. The project I pick as my favorite will be featured on my sidebar for a week!!I hope to see you there!!
Meet Sock Hop!! He is a little felted bunny I made for my nephew. The munchkin and I took a brave little trip on our own and traveled a couple of states to visit with my nephew and his family this past weekend. After vacationing for a couple days, I realized how desperately I am in need of new luggage!! Random old and shabby duffle bags just don't cut it. How I wish I had my own Delsey Luggage!! Have you seen this product?? Look at this:
I love the color!!
Back to Sock Hop....... :-)
I made Sock Hop out of a pair of soft wool socks that were accidentally felted by moi (or by my Hubby...it's been long enough that I can't actually remember). So, we'll blame it on the Hubs. :-) Yup, he totally put some wool in warm soapy water. Totally!! Can you believe it?!?!
There is some needle felting on that bunny too. Have you tried needle felting....it is tres cool. Here is the tool I use (with some wool roving from my first felting project:
Don't you just love the texture?? It's super dooper soft and fuzzy.
Here are some other felting projects I've done:

ReplyDeleteI can't do anything like this, it's really amazing to me.
Totally adorable! I wet felt more than I needle felt but...needle felting for embellishment always works for me. Great idea for those socks that accidentally make their way to the dryer

ReplyDeleteLove your little sock bunny! He's so cute! I really like the look of felting, but don't have the needle tool. It would be cool to get, though.
