"Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together."
~Oprah Winfrey
Thanks goodness for Duct tape. It's unbelievable what this incredible tape can do. You see above the most recent example of my Halloween decor....but duct tape is capable of so much more. As a Maine-ah, I am particularly aware of the benefits of this wonder tape. We don't go anywhere without it. I was at a craft show at the end of the summer and there was booth entirely devoted to duct tape made goods. None of us were surprised to see it there though all of us were probably thinking, "Ayuh, I made that one befor-ah".
One of the more popular humorists of central Maine, Gary Crocker, has devoted a whole section of his website to Duct Tape Tips:

Here's a few quotes to whet your appetite:
~New Year's Day was very slippery and I had to go down to feed the chickens. I didn't want to fall so I wrapped Duct Tape around my boots with the sticky side out and then stomped in the cat litter. I went down and fed the chickens with no problem- worked like a dream. Wife's not too happy though. Cat's litter box is in the bathroom and I had to track through the bedroom to get outside. Guess she doesn't appreciate ingenuity!
~If you are on a diet and the rest of your family is not, put all of their snacks into the refrigerator and tape the doors shut with Duct Tape. Every time you want something, removing the tape will make so much noise that it will alert the rest of the family and you will not eat what you are trying not to.
You can actually buy plaid duct tape at LL Beans:
Laugh all you want, but I'm eyeing this stuff for Christmas. :-)
If you want to make the wreath, it's really simple:
Black Duct Tape
Hot Glue
Black Electricians Tape
Dollar Store Raven
Foam Wreath
~Wrap that wreath all the way around with the duct tape.
~Make some sneaky little rosettes with the electricians tape and hot glue them onto the wreath (if you are going to place this outside, 'cause, hey, it's totally waterproof). If it is staying inside, you probably don't need to hot glue as long as you left some viable sticky surface of the electrical tape.
~Use the wonderfully little wires attached to the birds feet and push them through the tape and into the foam. Barring a hurricane, they're not going anywhere.
“Magnetism is one of the Six Fundamental Forces of the Universe, with the other five being Gravity, Duct Tape, Whining, Remote Control, and The Force That Pulls Dogs Toward The Groins Of Strangers.”
